What makes a good UV map for AI texturing?

TextureFast paints onto your UV map, so the quality of your UVs sets the quality of the result. A good UV map has no unintended overlapping islands, seams placed where they are hard to see, little stretching, consistent texel density across islands, enough padding between islands to avoid color bleeding, and islands that use most of the 0–1 UV space. Because the AI sees only the UV map, clear and well-organized islands also help it place details correctly. Not sure about yours? Run one model through the free UV Map Inspector first, which costs no tokens, and fix auto-unwrapped or heavily overlapping UVs in Blender or your DCC before generating.
