What is the best workflow for AI texture generation in Blender?
The fastest workflow uses the free TextureFast Blender addon: 1. Model and UV unwrap your mesh in Blender as usual. 2. Open the TextureFast panel in the 3D Viewport sidebar (press N). 3. Select your UV-unwrapped mesh. 4. Name the model (e.g. "Sword"), describe the textures you want (e.g. "weathered steel blade with leather grip"), and pick a style preset and quality level. 5. Click Generate BaseColor. TextureFast generates the texture and applies it to your Principled BSDF automatically. 6. Generate secondary maps (Normal, Roughness, Metallic, AO, Height). Each one auto-wires to the correct BSDF input. 7. Iterate: adjust your prompt or settings and regenerate until the look matches your vision. Textures are saved to a local folder next to your .blend file. For batch workflows, select another mesh and repeat. No export or import needed. Alternative web workflow: export your model (GLB/OBJ/FBX), upload to texturefast.com, generate, download PNG maps, and import back into Blender manually.
